This ‘case study’ home is the pet project of one of our repeat clients. We served in various design, consulting, and fabrication roles from its inception through completion. The house serves as a testing ground for many of the latest energy saving, renewable energy, and home automation systems.
One of our favorite roles was serving as the designers, fabricators, and installers of this staircase that occupies the center of the home. We fabricated it using laser cut steel stringers, a welded handrail, tempered glass panels, and thick milled yellow pine treads with semi-open risers. It compliments the other elements and materials we specified for the house and reinforces the homes theme of beautiful simplicity with high functionality.
