Hidden down a long winding drive and nestled into a rural hillside, this modern home was designed and built to give its inhabitants a strong connection to the outdoors. The central living area and stair tower are oriented to frame views deep within the site and the creek that runs just below the house. A future patio and shading elements will further enhance the homes passive solar design while a wood burning fireplace, energy efficient lighting, and high quality windows keep the house comfortable in all seasons. Simple and durable materials were used to clad the exterior and are composed to emphasize the arrangement of interior spaces.
